Real Quick Before Piper Wakes Up

Movie to NOT see: The Last Kiss. I got it from Netflix because Zach Braff was in it and I do enjoy Zach Braff. It was a horrible movie. The movie centers around him cheating on his girlfriend and nothing redeems it. When the characters are supposed to have a transformation, there is nothing behind it to convince us. It was just bad.  When Netflix asked me to rate it when I returned it I gave it 1 star and I only gave it 1 because they knew their lines. And, there was no “last” kiss.  It was all just dumb.

Piper: is awesome. She is getting to be such a fun baby. Okay, she’s always been fun, but I’m telling you, month #9 has been a good one for her. She’s cruising (that’s what they call it in “parent” lingo) around the furniture, she’s learned to clap, and it seems like she gets jokes.  For example, she does something funny and she laughs.  Or I put something on my head that doesn’t belong there, such as a shoe, and she laughs.  Oh, and she thinks it’s funny when Jason blows his nose.  Cracks up like crazy!

She loves to feed herself so she gets really excited when the ziploc bag of cheerios comes out of the diaper bag.   And she’s slowly learning how to use a sippy cup.  They say to take the valve out so the water just pours out into their mouth so that they can learn.  Well, I did that and when I wasn’t looking she was shaking the sippy cup upside down and dumping water on her high chair tray.  Can’t blame her, she’s discovering things.  What I thought was funny was that she was trying to pick up the water between her thumb and pointer finger and put it in her mouth, like she does with the cheerios.

Okay, now it’s a different day.  I had to put that last one on hold because Piper woke up and I went back to being a responsible mother.

Here are some cool things that Piper does:
1. She has these rice puffy gerber snacks and that have a little fruit flavor to them.  I mix them with cheerios and she picks all the fruit puffs out and eats them first.  It’s impressive to me because this particular flavor is the same color as cheerios so she actually has to tell that they are a different shape.  Smart kid, I think.

2. Tells jokes in the back seat of the car.  Sometimes while I’m driving she’ll be back there cracking up.  I think she’s practicing her stand-up.

3.  Eats Thanksgiving dinner.  Last night she got to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us.  I shredded up some turkey and she ate it with some mashed potatoes and biscuit.  We let her try a little cranberry sauce and she was practically begging for more.  She kept staring at Jason until he gave her more.  She also tried pumpkin pie and sparkling apple cider.  I think her mind was blown.

Okay, that’s all for now.  All of my blogs are about Piper.  And that’s because she’s awesome.  But I did throw in a movie review for you as well this time.  I’m getting better.

Piper likes her blue monkey toy. She was cracking me up when she was using her feet to touch it and make it go. But, of course, once I started recording her she stopped doing it. But, it’s still cute. Oh, and these videos were taken on my phone so they’re not that best quality.

I was going to post two videos of Piper but apparently it only wants me to do them one at a time. So, here is a video of Piper doing a little dance. She loves the horse toy at my mom’s house and she does a little dance to it. She’s pretty much awesome.
