Our baby – the overachiever

So, some of you know that a couple of weeks ago the doctor said that I couldn’t teach dance anymore because I had very low amniotic fluid for Piper to swim around in. So, in order to replenish my supply, I had to chill out a little bit and drink lots of water! I mean lots. I am supposed to drink 90 oz. of water a day, but I’ve only been getting in about 70 oz. and even that means about 49 trips to the bathrooom. Well, just over one weekend my amniotic fluid went from 6 cm. to 11 cm. (They don’t really want you to go below 8 cm.)  And at the first doctor’s visit (when she was just in 6 cm. of fluid) Piper passed her baby health test with a score of 8 out of 8. That’s our girl, already acing tests!

So, they had me come twice a week for non-stress tests and ultrasounds. But of course, our baby, being hecka awesome, is doing so well that they said I only have to come once a week now. The doctor said she’s right on track, the right size, good heartbeat, and all that. She’s already head down (and has been for the last three weeks) and the doctor says she seems pretty settled in that position. So, our girls already in position for her big escape.

Now, if only her mother could get as prepared for her arrival, then we’d all be set. Forgive my shameless bragging about our girl, but I just think she’s great. I hope she doesn’t get a big head (literally and figuratively.)
